Definition
Stock-to-Flow — existing supply divided by annual new issuance. A scarcity ratio.
Formula
stock_to_flow = total_supply / rolling₃₆₅_sum(daily_issuance_btc)How we compute it
Annual flow is the trailing-365-day sum of daily issuance (supply diff); S2F divides total mined BTC by it. Clamped to [0, 1000].
Interpretation
Higher = greater scarcity. Steps up sharply at each halving as flow halves.
Caveats & limitations
- ·S2F is a controversial price model; we publish the ratio itself, not a price prediction. Treat as a scarcity descriptor, not a forecast.
