Definition
Realized Price — the aggregate cost basis per coin: realized cap divided by circulating supply. The average price at which the entire supply last moved.
Formula
realized_price = realized_cap / circulating_supplyHow we compute it
Direct division of realized cap by total mined (circulating) BTC from our UTXO archive.
Interpretation
Acts as macro support: when spot price falls below realized price, the average holder is underwater — historically a strong accumulation signal and a cycle floor.
Caveats & limitations
- ·Uses the measured cost-basis realized cap since 2026-10-12 (see Realized Cap). Divides by total mined supply. The Realized Price (true cost basis) page divides by the measured unspent supply instead, which differs by about 0.001%.
Current Realized Price reading
As of 2026-10-16, Bitcoin’s Realized Price is $53,786, compared with $55,054 one year earlier (2025-10-16). The series has 6,491 daily readings from 2009-01-03 to 2026-10-16, computed from our own full-archive Bitcoin node and refreshed every day.
Historical extremes
The highest Realized Price on record is $56,295 on 2025-11-26; the lowest is $0 on 2009-01-03. Readings near either end of that range have historically coincided with cycle turning points — use the chart above to see where today sits relative to past extremes.
